Come celebrate Friday the 13th and play Betrayal at House on the Hill, an award winning and highly acclaimed game of strategy and horror. While “triggering the haunt” of the board game, you can witness atrocities from screenings of the 1959 House on Haunted Hill and Friday the 13th, try wickedly tasty drink specials, browse a curated selection of scary books, and more! ~Free Admission / 21+ with ID / 6pm – 11pm~

As the season of seances and possession gathers in strength, we are inviting you to share your own ghost stories at this ominous open-mic night. We’ll also be celebrating the reissue of Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark with readings from the classic series by your host for the night–Seattle drag queen AngelBaby Kill! Kill! Kill! While you get spooked, you can sip on scary cocktail specials and browse a curated selection of scary books. ~Free Admission / 21+ with ID / 6pm – 11pm~

Build your own spooooky interactive Halloween prop and learn the basics of microcontrollers, radio communication, and electronic sensors! We’ll use the Micro:Bit microcontroller, a simple block-based programming language on the Microsoft Make Code website, and lots and lots of cardboard. Through project-based learning, you’ll leave with the skills and experience to tackle your own wild ideas at home! If you’re asking “What’s a microcontroller?”, this workshop is perfect for you! ~$60 for the workshop entry/ $75 for workshop entry + microcontroller to take home/ All Ages/ 2pm – 5pm~


The countdown to Halloween is here! Join us at The Lab for a pumpkin-tastic evening. Bring a pumpkin to carve or get one at the QFC across the street, and we’ll provide the tools and spooky stencils for you to do it. Try a flight of different pumpkin beers, munch on pumpkin bread, listen to a truly terrifying soundtrack of horror-themed music, browse a curated selection of scary books, and compete to be the ultimate pumpkin artist for prizes. ~Free Admission / 21+ with ID / 6pm – 11pm~

Get yourself to The Lab this Halloween, where you can enter our costume contest to win horror-ific prizes. (Bonus points for science and sci-fi themed costumes!) With drink specials, screenings of classic Mad Scientist movies, games, and a curated selection of scary books available for purchase, this is the place to be on All Hallows’ Eve. ~Free Admission / 21+ with ID / 6pm – 11pm~
